Professor conducts research to conserve endangered Ozarks hellbender

The Endangered Species Act of 1973 recognizes that endangered and threatened species of wildlife and plants are “of aesthetic  ecological, educational, historical, recreational and scientific value to the nation and its people.” Scientists and organizations work together to protect these species. Dr. Alicia Mathis, department head of biology at Missouri State University, shares about her research of the Ozarks hellbender.
