Art and design students place in local poster contest
Three art and design students brought home top honors in the Higher Education Committee’s Underage Drinking Prevention Poster Contest organized by the Community Partnership of the Ozarks. Of the 56 entries, Missouri State University students took the top three overall awards:
- W. Sylvester Wyatt took first place overall for his poster entitled “This school year…Rush Sobriety – the lower the drinks per week the higher the GPA.”
- Megan Shiver took second place overall for her poster of a mountain climber entitled “Hangover (the fun kind) – The majority of college students do not binge drink.”
- Jared Horman took third place overall for his poster entitled “70% of college students use a designated driver.”
The winning posters will be reprinted and placed throughout the community. These posters were also created as part of an assignment in Cedomir Kostovic’s Image Design class.
