Missouri State MarooNation event comes to Joplin
The Missouri State University Alumni Association will host a MarooNation gathering for alumni and friends living in the greater Joplin area Feb. 28 from 6–8 p.m. at Twin Hills Golf and Country Club, 2019 S. Country Club Drive.
The event will include an Italian buffet dinner and feature remarks from President Clif Smart. Art Hains, voice of the Missouri State Bears, will emcee the evening and interview Missouri State Athletics Director Kyle Moats and Head Football Coach Terry Allen.
“It is exciting to know that we have many loyal alumni and friends living close by in the greater Joplin area,” said Julie Ebersold, executive director of alumni relations. “Our goal is to connect fellow Bears to each other and to keep everyone in touch with Missouri State.”
Each guest will receive a Missouri State memento, and door prizes will be awarded. The cost for the buffet dinner is $5 per person, payable at the door or in advance with online registration. Reservations are requested at www.alumni.missouristate.edu or by calling Renee Fogle, event coordinator, at (417) 836-5654.
