University employees, students recognized for excellent work

CASE recognizes work of communications, alumni and development professionals

CASE logoMissouri State University won 12 awards in the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District VI institutional awards competition. Missouri State competed against schools and universities in Missouri, Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wyoming.

“These awards continue an impressive 25-year tradition by the professionals working in areas of communications, development and alumni relations at Missouri State University,” said Paul Kincaid, Missouri State’s chief of staff and assistant to the president for university relations. “It is an indication of the excellent work my talented colleagues produce on a daily basis to support and advance the university. The recognition is well deserved and much appreciated.”

Gold awards were given to:

  • Brad Mitchell, new media specialist in the office of web and new media, and Adam Wagner, student videographer for web and new media, for their “Like a Student” video
  • Amy Schuldt, assistant director of publications, and Michelle Rose, publications writer/editor, for the Missouri State University Foundation annual report
  • Jessica Clements, new media specialist in the office of university communications; Lindsay Thomack, former web designer in the office of web and new media; Mitchell; and Tyler Beck, student videographer for web and new media, for the “My Place at Missouri State” blog
  • Chad Killingsworth, assistant director of web and new media, and Thomack for the 2012 Public Affairs Conference mobile app
  • Teri Poindexter, publications graphic designer, and Rose for the Missouri State visitors’ packet

Silver awards were given to:

  • Veronica Adinegara, publications senior graphic designer, and Don Hendricks, director of university communications, for the Public Affairs Conference ad

Bronze awards were given to:

  • Poindexter for the Tent Theatre invitation
  • Schuldt for the Missouri State University van wrap
  • Abby Isackson, publications graphic designer, and Rose for the Illinois student recruitment postcard
  • Adinegara and Rose for the undergraduate admissions guide
  • Poindexter and Rose for the Missouri State visitors’ packet
  • Andrew Nordin Zeller, freelance designer for publications, and Rose for the Top 5 postcard series

The Council for Advancement and Support of Education is a professional association serving educational institutions and the advancement professionals who work on their behalf in alumni relations, communications, development, marketing and allied areas.
